Is FurEver Hope a registered charity?
No. FurEver Hope Foundation is an unregistered organisation. It is not a UK charity, not a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), and it is not being filed with the Charity Commission. There is no charity number.
Where does my donation go?
Straight to the dogs. Roughly 50% funds food and feeding rounds, 35% goes to veterinary and medical care, and 15% covers rescue and safe, legal transport. See the full visual breakdown in Where your money goes below.
How much does it cost to help a dog?
£5 feeds a street dog for a week, £25 covers vaccinations and parasite protection, and £95 funds a spay or neuter surgery. Every amount goes directly towards a dog's care.
How do dogs get from Jamaica to the UK?
Before any dog travels, they are vaccinated, microchipped, health-checked and issued the correct documentation. We then arrange safe, legal transport that complies with UK import requirements, and stay involved through every step of the journey.
Can I adopt a dog?
We're not offering adoption at the moment. The best ways to help right now are donating, sponsoring a dog, or getting involved with volunteering and supplies — see our Sponsor a Dog and Get Involved pages.
Can I sponsor a dog instead?
Absolutely. Sponsorship is a small monthly gift that supports a specific dog's care, and you'll receive updates on their journey. See our Sponsor a Dog page.
Do you spay and neuter dogs?
It's central to our mission. Our first organised spay and neuter campaign is launching soon in partnership with another rescue — an announcement is coming shortly. Neutering is the single most effective way to reduce stray suffering long term.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Donations are processed securely through our GoFundMe campaign. We never see or store your card details. You may complete checkout on GoFundMe’s secure payment page.
Can you claim Gift Aid on my donation?
No. Gift Aid is not available. FurEver Hope Foundation is not a registered UK charity, so we cannot claim Gift Aid.
How can I volunteer or help in other ways?

We believe trust is earned, so we share the real work as it happens — vet bills and receipts, photos and videos from the ground, and regular updates on our news page and Instagram.
No part of what we raise is paid to anyone running this work beyond reasonable, documented expenses — every donation exists to help dogs in Jamaica, and nothing else.
